Rico Jose is a people / portrait photographer based in Manila. Though he prides himself of being foremost a food and product photographer only because he's done more projects involving non-living things, he is equally adept at lighting and photographing people. While most of the work he's done are with people in their natural environment, he applies the same lighting skills and attention to detail he does with food to portraitures done in the studio. He favors bright and contrasty, often rim lighted lighting on his subject - no different from his approach with food and product photography, making them look like shiny, happy people.
